Jürgen Kasek from the Green Party Visits Grünhorn On-Site
Jürgen Kasek, environmental policy speaker for the Green Party in Leipzig, visited Grünhorn with representatives on September 11. During a tour, discussions included Grünhorn's commitment to the economic location of Leipzig, efforts to reduce bureaucracy, and the impacts of legalization.
According to Kasek, Grünhorn is one of the largest employers in Leipzig and has invested significantly in expanding its location over the past two years. Kasek also inquired about the nationwide supply of medicinal cannabis in Germany, the hurdles patients face in accessing medicinal cannabis, planned investments in research and development, and studies for evidence generation, as well as the general promotion of Leipzig as a model region in the context of potential cannabis legalization.
“During the tour, Mr. Kasek was able to witness our capabilities firsthand. He was particularly impressed by our in-house laboratory and the so-called 'tea corner,' which impressively demonstrates the pharmaceutical processing and filling. Mr. Kasek offered his personal support as well as that of the city of Leipzig for various issues and initiatives. We are very pleased and feel reinforced in our work to make access to medicinal cannabis easier for more patients," says Stefan Fritsch, founder and managing director of the Grünhorn network.
