Education about medical cannabis plays a significant role at Grünhorn. Recently, alumni from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management visited Grünhorn Pharmacy in Leipzig. The business school is a renowned interface between business and academia and, with over 500 startups founded by former students, it is a top address for entrepreneurship in Germany.
The alumni had the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insights into how cannabis is marketed as a medicinal product. Stefan Fritsch, Founder and CEO of the Grünhorn Group, addressed their questions on:
- The business model
- Legal and quality challenges
- Widespread stigma
- Gaps in supply and information deficits
- Cannabis as a therapeutic agent
- The complex regulations governing the journey from plant to prescription.
Stefan Fritsch emphasized that responsible consumption is crucial, which is why the Grünhorn Academy supports patients with education on medical cannabis. The group discussed current market developments, the application of cannabis in various medical conditions, Grünhorn’s strategy for handling high demand through automation, and the Academy’s research activities. We look forward to further visits from academic institutions to foster mutual learning and position Grünhorn as an attractive employer in the Leipzig business ecosystem.
